Dr. Brian Jock
Dr. Jock grew up in Newnan, Georgia. After attending the University of Georgia, he received his Master's degree in biology from Georgia State University. He then graduated with a distinction in dental research from the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University. While in dental school, he received several prestigious honors, including induction into Omicron Kappa Upsilon and Phi Kappa Phi national honor societies, and receiving the OKU Professionalism award and the noteworthy Dorothy "Dolly" Hearn award. The recipient of the Dolly Award is voted on by his or her peers and as someone who displayed the most professionalism, empathy and perseverance throughout their dental school career. Now, Dr. Jock continues to embody these qualities in private practice.
Recognizing how much he enjoys working with children and a desire to create enjoyable dental experiences for them, Dr. Jock completed a two-year, post-doctoral pediatric dentistry residency at Children's Hospital Colorado. He received advanced training in working with children with special healthcare needs, laser dentistry and release of tongue ties, orofacial trauma, growth and development, advanced behavioral management, disease prevention, and innovative restorative practices.
Dr. Jock lives in Athens with his wife, Kirkley, and two children. In his free time, he enjoys being outside with his family, hiking, running, skiing, and grilling on his Big Green egg. He joined the team at Athens Dentistry for Children in 2019 and loves being a part of this great community!
